BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — We are waking up to some chilly temperatures on Thursday, but today will still be warmer than Wednesday without the wind chill.
Thursday will also be a clear day with little to no clouds expected around the Treasure Valley and much of Idaho. Wind speeds will be lighter than previous days this week, around four to six miles per hour for most of the day.
An air quality alert is still in effect for Boise, Custer and Valley counties. The mountains are dealing with unhealthy air for some groups, and the alert will remain until 3 p.m. on Friday.
Air quality in the Treasure Valley has been good over the last few days, and we will enjoy dry conditions today and likely through the weekend. There is a chance of seeing some showers on Monday, but it is too soon to tell how much.
Expect lots of sun this weekend as temperatures turn hot.Today's high will be 82 degrees in Boise, and temperatures will continue warming over the next few days. We should jump into the upper 80s on Friday, reach the low 90s on Saturday and get into the mid-90s on Sunday.
Temperatures should drop back into the low 90s on Monday with an expected cold front.
