The Las Vegas GP is still more than a year away but that hasn’t stopped F1 from getting the party started. Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes rolled onto the strip in style as the team installed a petronas green / cyan underglow light under the 7 time world champion’s car as they went on to participate in a show run organised by Formula 1 and the Las Vegas GP promoters.
F1 loves Las Vegas and the latter shares the same feeling. It was safe to say that Saturday’s launch party for the Las Vegas GP was a big hit amongst the many fans and spectators that were present to witness this phenomenon. Apart from Sergio Perez, Lewis was among the list of drivers doing show runs for the crowd on the strip. The excitement for this party was as expected.
Red Bull went on to drive a F1 car inside a casino just days before this party which seemed to hype it up even more. However the one thing that caught their eye was the underglow lights spotted in Hamilton’s car. This was a party trick all thanks to Mercedes. However, fans were adamant that the sport should bring these lights to every night race on the F1 calendar as it looked really cool. Here is how the fans reacted to Mercedes’s surprise.
